Board of Trustees

As a Board of Trustees we want to ensure that Calvary Christian School meets the needs of its students and families through its dedication to academic excellence and the development of Christian values.

The Board of Trustees consists of twelve individuals who are active members of Calvary Church and who have an interest in or ability related to the area of education. In addition, the Board has a Parent Input Committee which includes three parents of current students who have demonstrated a deep commitment to the school and support of the School's academic and spiritual mission, but are not members of Calvary Church. The Parent Association President also serves as part of the Board of Trustees. The Head of School, Elementary School Head, Middle School Head, and Admissions Director attend all board meetings.
The Board of Trustees is legally responsible for the school, accountable to Calvary Church and works to reinforce Calvary Christian School’s mission statement. Specific responsibilities of the Board of Trustees include:
  • Establishing school policy
  • Ensuring for the financial stability of the school
  • Reviewing and maintaining the school by-laws
  • Actively supporting and promoting the school and the Head of School
  • Hiring, encouraging and evaluating the Head of School

Calvary Christian School Foundation

The Calvary Christian School Foundation is an independent, charitable, tax-exempt organization which provides funding for capital needs, scholarships and the enrichment of the program at Calvary Christian School. It is comprised of 30 families who are parents of students at Calvary or have an abiding interest in the School's success. The Foundation trustees and others conduct the fund-raising activities of the Foundation on a voluntary basis. These dedicated people bless Calvary Christian School with their hard work and talent.

The Foundation hosts a bi-annual Spring Gala and Auction. The Spring Gala is the Foundation's single largest benefit that funds a variety of projects to enhance our facilities and supplement academic and enrichment programs.
