Teachers, administrators and all educational assistants are screened carefully and selected on the basis of their Christian values, integrity, commitment and love for children.

With the belief that children do not care what you know until they know that you care, CCS teachers and administrators go well beyond the classroom to encourage, support and show love to the students. From attendance at student’s activities and sports outside of school, to calls and notes of encouragement, teachers and administrators show that they care on a continual basis. The opportunity for academic excellence is accessible for each student.

All of our classroom teachers hold California Teaching Credentials, and many have advanced degrees, including several with Masters, Reading Specialist Credentials, and two with PhDs. All of our highly qualified teachers are fully committed to generosity of time and heart in their interactions with students and families.

	LISA ASAI Preschool Director Lisa Asai received her B.A. degree in Liberal Arts from Loyola Marymount and has a California Multi-Subject Teaching Credential. She has three years in early childhood education experience and five years in Elementary Education.  She is in her third at Calvary and second year as the Preschool Director.	E-mail
	VINCE DOWNEY Head of School Mr. Downey brings 23 years of educational experience to CCS including 16 years as a Head of School/Principal. He was the Principal of Palm Desert High School for two years and was formerly the Head of School of Marywood-Palm Valley School in Rancho Mirage for the past 14 years. Mr. Downey has a Masters Degree in Educational Administration, a Bachelors Degree in Biology, and Bachelors Degree in Physical Education. This is Mr. Downey's first year at the helm at CCS.	E-mail
	DAVID LUDWIG Elementary School Head David Ludwig received his B.A. in Political Science from the University of Michigan and his M.A. in Education and his credential from National University.  He also received his Administrative Services Credential from Cal State Dominguez Hills. 	LESLIE CLARK Director of Admission and Marketing Leslie Clark received a B.S. in Business Administration with an emphasis in Finance and Marketing from UC Berkeley. She has worked in marketing for over 20 years with experience in consumer products, business to business, non-profit marketing, and education. She has been a marketing consultant for Calvary for seven years and was the Director of Development and Marketing from 2010-2012.	E-mail

	SUSIE CURRAN 4 Year Old Preschool Susie Curran received an Associate of Arts Degree in Early Childhood Education from Santa Monica College.  She completed additional coursework in Early Childhood Development through UCLA extension.  She teaches preschool and has been at Calvary Christian School since 1989.
