Community Service Project:
CARING FOR THE ELDERLY
Caring for and serving the elderly is one of the most important ways to share God’s love. It is Calvary’s first and second grader’s goal to build community with the elderly through care and friendship, to make a difference in the lives of seniors, and to appreciate the value of family, including grandparents and aging relatives.
Our students are committed to serving the elderly in the following ways this year:
- Weekly group prayer
- Adopt Palm Court Retirement Community in Culver City.
- Send a note or art to remind residents that they are being thought of and prayed for regularly.
- Send birthday and holiday cards.
- Special occasion visits: Spa Day with the ladies (girls and their moms give manicures), Board game day for the guys (boys and their moms or dads go play board games with elderly), Christmas or Easter presentation.
